We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Fortune Favors the Bold. We’re nothing if not authentic, so in tribute to one of our foundational beliefs, we decided to create a rockin’ video. With the help of our favorite editor and friend Scott Roberts (or as we lovingly call him, FISH), we think we did just that.

The basis of this core belief (and subsequent video) stemmed from one short quote: “Why join the Navy when you can be a pirate?” It was a wise man who first uttered those words, and we kind of like his style.

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves, Steve. It’s our job as pirates to let our flag fly high and shout what we believe from the rooftops! We think blending in is a navy move and we want no part of it.

Now let’s get one thing straight: we have no bone to pick with the literal US Navy. We like them. They’re good guys. Our beef lies in the uniformity and status quo the figurative “navy” represents. We like people who challenge the old way of thinking; who go against the norm; who live to do things differently. They’re our modern day version of pirates. It’s got nothing to do with plundering ships and stealing booty and everything to do with being BOLD.
